      How to order

You can order copies of the DVD from the Order the DVD page. Add how many copies you would like to order, then when you have pressed the ‘Add to Cart’ button, a link will appear at the top of the page to ‘View Cart’. This page helps you to add or remove more items. On the ‘Checkout’ page,  you will fill out your billing and/or shipping address details.

      Currency Converter

On the Order the DVD page and on the Cart and Checkout Pages, there is a currency converter which can display the equivalent prices in your currency.  Please note, this is for informational purposes only to help assist you with costing your purchase.  The order payment will be in GBP, and the currency convertor display amounts are estimated using the latest exchange rates.

      Payment

Payment can be made via Paypal.  You do not need a Paypal account to pay. If you do not have a Paypal account, you will need a credit or debit card. When you have filled our your details on the ‘Checkout’ page click on the ‘Place Order’ button.  You will be directed to Paypal to complete your payment. If you have any problems with being able to order, or need to arrange a different form of payment or require an invoice prior to ordering, please contact us at film@transitionnetwork.org.

      Delivery

The cost of delivery covers the cost of packaging and sending the DVDs to you at the cheapest possible price, and for most orders we will be using the UK’s Royal Mail service to send your DVDs. If you have placed a large order you may receive your order in several packages rather than just one package. This helps us and you to save costs associated with delivery and shipping.

      Bulk Orders

There are discounts for bulk orders.

      • If you buy over 20 copies you can get a 30% discount
      • if you buy over 50 you get a 40% discount (up to a maximum purchase of 99 dvd’s).

If you wish to purchase more than 99 copies of the DVD, please get in touch with us at film@transitionnetwork.org.

Discounts will be automatically applied in the Checkout pages.

      Screenings

If you are planning a screening of the film in your community, fill out the form on the Book a Screening page. We aim to enable any organisation to be able to offer a screening, and if you have any questions regarding screenings get in touch with us by email at film@transitionnetwork.org.

DVD formats – Will it work in my country?

There are two main types of picture formats that apply to TV; and also to DVDs and DVD players.
These are PAL and NTSC. The In Transition 2.0 DVD is in PAL format.

NTSC is the standard picture format in the USA, Canada & Japan.
PAL is the standard picture format in most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, most of Africa/Asia.

It is important to understand the difference if you are from the USA and Canada.  Japan also uses NTSC (Region 2) however it is America and Canada that are unique in that the ‘normal’ DVD player and TV is made for just the NTSC format and will not normally play PAL.

      TV Playback:

In the USA and Canada for example, many DVD players can only play the NTSC format, also many TV sets. Unless your TV / Monitor can display both formats you when purchasing DVD’s (not just the DVD offered  here on this website), you need to purchase the appropriate DVD in the format for your Country. Or a DVD player that can play both (PAL / NTSC compatible or with a built in converter).
However most Computers can play both PAL and NTSC.

The purpose of this information is for people in the USA, Canada and Japan that want to buy PAL DVDs from our shop, is that you need to have a DVD player capable of playing the PAL format for playback.

      Computer Playback:

Most computers that have DVD players can playback both PAL and NTSC DVDs.

      DVD Regions:

Our DVD is designed for worldwide playback in all DVD regions.

I want to order the DVD in NTSC format

You’ll hear about communities printing their own money, growing food everywhere, localising their economies and setting up community power stations. It’s an idea that has gone viral, a social experiment that is about responding to uncertain times with solutions and optimism.

In a world that is awash with gloom, here is a story of hope, ingenuity and the power of growing vegetables in unexpected places.
